Note: If after you update your unit and load your backup file you find that the G in the GLC indicator field never illuminates it's because the GPS did not get added. The GPS was renamed in the newer firmware so you will need to go into the Peripherals screen and add the GPS manually. After you add the GPS save your car file and create another backup so you don't have to do this in the future. You should notice that after you add the GPS in the Peripherals screen the G in the GLC indicator field will start to blink green and will soon stay green once it has locked onto satellites.

Micro Pod and Track Commander BIOS Update
This only applies to customers that bought their unit before May 6, 2009.
If you purchased either a Track Commander or Micro Pod unit before May 6, 2009 then you will want to update the BIOS so that you have the most up to date one available. The new BIOS reduces the amount of time the Track Commander or Micro Pod unit takes to boot up. An easy way to know if you have the newest BIOS is power the unit on. If a splash screen appears right away you have the newest BIOS but if the splash screen does not appear for 5 or 10 seconds then you have the older BIOS and you need to update. Below is the newest version of the Micro Pod and Track Commander BIOS. Please review the instructions on how to successfully update your unit. The instructions will show you how to update your unit and set it back to pre-configured conditions.
