Introduction

As an introduction to RLC’s Pro Race Analysis software we will show you a general overview of what the software can do. You will see how to open a log file, view an Exact Track map, compare two log files, view synchronized video, apply math equations, plus many more exciting features.

For more details on the Pro Race Analysis software, please watch any or all of the videos.

Lesson 1: Menu Bar

The Menu Bar is where you will find selections and options such as opening a log file, average your data, or create a math equation. The Menu Bar is referred to often in the later lessons so please take the time to familiarize yourself with it now.

  • Open Log File
  • Save Session Layout
  • Change Units
  • Apply Data Averaging
  • Create Math Equation
  • View Lap Lines
  • Help Menu

Lesson 2: Opening a Log File

In this lesson we will show you how to open a log file in the Pro Race Analysis software. We will also show you how to add a description to a log file, you could comment about the setup of the car or the weather conditions.

  • How to Open a Log file
  • Add a Description To A Log File

Lesson 3: Track Map Section

Learn about RLC’s exclusive Exact Track maps and how they are the most accurate track maps in the industry. You will also learn how to turn on the gear position function, how to drag and drop sensors on the track map for color banding, turn on predictive sectoring, create your theoretical best lap, and how to turn on the time finder tool.

  • Generic/Default Track Map
  • Exact Track Map
  • Predicitive Sectoring
  • Gear Position
  • Color Banding
  • Time Finder
  • Theoretical Sectoring

Lesson 4: File Information

Familiarize yourself with the File Info, Current Data, Lap Summary, and Race Summary tabs. Each tab shows you different information about sensor data and lap times.

  • File Info Tab
  • Current Data Tab
  • Lap Summary Tab
  • Race Summary Tab

Lesson 5: Video Section

We will show you the benefit of having video in addition to your data. See how to analyze a ChaseCam video file or how to manually synchronize a GoPro video file to a log file from any RLC data logger.

  • Analyze ChaseCam Video
  • Manually Synchronize GoPro Video
  • Dual Synchronized Video

Lesson 6: Graphing Section

See how to graph sensors, apply data averaging to smooth the data, zoom in on a section of the graph to see the data more clearly, and how to save a graph for future use.

  • Creating A Graph
  • Apply Data Averaging
  • Zooming In On a Graph
  • Analyzing Multiple Graphs
  • Multiple Sensors Per Graph
  • Save Graph Setup
  • Load A Saved Graph
  • Save Graph For Printing

Lesson 7: Comparing Log Files

In this lesson we will show you how to open and analyze two log files at the same time.

  • Track Map Window with Two Cars
  • File Information Window With Two Cars
  • Graphing Window With Two Cars

Lesson 8: Math Equations

Apply any math equation to any logged sensor and then graph the results or drag and drop it onto the track map for color banding.

  • Add A Standard Math Equation
  • Create A Custom Math Equation

Lesson 9: Session Configuration

Set the Pro Race Analysis software window up the way you want and save its configuration. Now when you open a log file it will load in your saved configuration.

  • Create A New Configuration/Layout
  • Load Saved Configuration/Layout
  • Edit Saved Configuration/Layout

Lesson 10: Exporting Data

Export data to a text file to print out and save for future use or export data so it can be used with ChaseCam’s DashWare program.

  • Export Data To Text File
  • Export Data For DashWare
